My first game spotting

Last weekend I went to Kafue River Lodge. I saw my first wildlife: waterbuck, impala and baboons. I went for a walk and a game drive with my mummy and daddy. I was very interested, looking all around and I didn’t cry or grizzle on my outings. There was too much to look at. I now chew my hands in earnest. My parents thought I was teething. Mummy took my around to visit a friend with 2 young boys to take a look in my mouth. She seemed to think I was probably just at the beginning of my teething and it would be a while before a tooth came through.

I have learnt to arch my back and bottom when lying down. This is my new trick. When I am lying on my play mat, I do this and move all around the mat. I love playing on my play mat – especially if I can get the toys hanging down into my mouth.

I find spoons interesting. Probably because I am a little like a magpie...I like shiny objects like daddy’s watch and the camera.

I went for a walk with mummy and daddy. Daddy put me on his shoulders which I enjoyed.

I have just begun to reach out my hands to get objects.
